Design and Prototype for Scentso Hydrating Sheet Mask Packaging.

As part of my packaging prototype course, I designed and developed a packaging concept for a male beauty brand called Scentso

The product was hydrating sheet masks, and my design took inspiration from Korean-style packaging, incorporating soft pastel tones and a clean, minimalist aesthetic. Beyond the design phase, I also had the opportunity to print and assemble the prototype, bringing my concept to life.

Course: GCM 808: Packaging Prototype
Tools: Adobe Illustrator

Prototype

I began by exploring various packaging designs to better understand the current trends and designs of existing beauty brands. This research helped guide my initial rough sketches, where I explored concepts for the overall shape, logo, and dielines. From there, I brought the design to life in Adobe Illustrator, developing both the visual elements and the dieline structure for the final prototype.

Learnings

Through this project, I learned the importance of aligning packaging design with both the product’s function and the target audience. I gained hands-on experience in turning a concept into a physical prototype, which taught me how crucial material choice and structural design are in creating an effective package. Additionally, working with print and assembly deepened my appreciation for the production side of design, where even small details can impact the final result.
